Hello everybody!

Is there an interesting story behind your username? I don't know about interesting, but the story behind it is this... my name is Niko, my favorite singer is Sean Altman -- like, I'd marry the man if I could -- so I chose to go by Niko_Altman.

Location and language(s): Ohio, USA. I speak English, Russian, and a little Icelandic. Learning (and failing miserably at) Hebrew.

Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.): I'm in my early 30s.

Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending: I don't play well with anti-vaxxers/anti-maskers/Trump supporters/bigots in general.

Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.? I do! It's one I did for the snowflake challenge, but yeah! It's pinned to my blog. I also recommend people read my profile too.

Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful? Yes, my profile is up to date :D

List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away: I ramble about my fave bands/video games/tv shows and life in general a lot. I also post my fanfics, or links to them. I sometimes post often, or go a few days to a week without posting, depending on my mental state.

You mostly write about: Life happenings, thoughts, venting about work, fandom stuff.

You never or very rarely write about: Politics, unless it's something I feel I need to vent about, but that's rare.

Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked? Locked. I had some fandom drama happen on tumblr (lies and rumors being told about me, which sucks), and if it follows me here, I don't want the witch hunters reading my personal posts.

Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)? No. I do warn for triggers and cut posts if they are long.

Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.): Daily/weekly, unless I don't have the spoons.

Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? Sometimes.

What do you enjoy most about journaling? Getting my thoughts out and getting to know everyone!

How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)? Every day. I may not comment, but know that I do read the posts.

You really enjoy reading about: Common interests and whatnot!

You have very little interest in reading about: Honestly, there's not much except for politics that I have little interest in reading about.

Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? I don't mind any of it.

When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity? I don't know. I like talking to people though.

Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly? No.

What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals? I try to comment when I can, or when I have the spoons to comment.

When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances? I don't really unfriend people tbh.

AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general? HAHAHAHA. I post like crazy about my fandoms and things. I'm currently only in the LazyTown fandom and the fandom for Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego (the gameshow), somewhat in the pro-wrestling fandom, and also in the fandoms of my fave bands/singers. I also post about video games. As I said previously, I also have a tendency to post my fanfics, or link to them.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends? Just "HELLO!" and feel free to comment if you'd like to be added. I'm an open book so ask questions if you'd like too.
