Oh yeah, people write Outlander fic. I've actually looked at some out of curiosity. A lot of it focuses on Jamie time travelling to the future and how he'd adapt, etc., and there's also a fair bit written to flesh out Claire and/or Jamie's stories during their 20 years apart after Culloden. And lots of it is just really odd stuff...
