Is there an interesting story behind your username?

It is a lyric from "Alligator" by Of Monsters and Men. I love their music.

Location and language(s):

I am from Texas, and only speak English. Would love to learn another language some time in my life, though!

Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):

Early 30's

Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:

Not much will make me unfriend someone. I have only unfriended in another journaling community when all the person posted was their twitter updates.

Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.?

Yes. This is actually a new journal for me, so my very first entry has a bit about me.

Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?

It's brand new, so I think so!

List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:

If you don't like reading about the mom life, then you probably won't like my entries. But I am open to all sorts of friends even if they do not share a similar lifestyle to mine. It makes things more interesting!

You mostly write about:

Daily life. I have 3 kids, so they will be the subject of my entries a lot. My husband as well. But I also have recently discovered that I just really enjoy writing as a hobby. I'm not a writer by any means, and have only just started working on poetry, fiction, and non-fiction pieces. So I
use my journal for those things as well.

You never or very rarely write about:

Politics. But other than that I'm mostly an open book.

Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?

Most entries will probably end up locked, but possibly some public added in as well.

Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?

Nope.

Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):

It varies. But definitely at least once a week. Sometimes more.

Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?

Maybe a meme here and there, and on occasion a picture.

What do you enjoy most about journaling?

It's an outlet for me, and a fun hobby.

How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?

Every day.

You really enjoy reading about:

Honestly, there's not much I won't enjoy reading.

You have very little interest in reading about:

Politics. Explicit sexual content. I don't mind hearing about sex but I don't want to read your version of 50 shades of Grey haha.

Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?

I'm not opposed to those things, but I rarely watch videos, and will not follow any linkspams.

When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?

Maybe a little of both? I really like commenting on my friends posts, but I get that not everything warrants a long, drawn out comment.

Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?

Nah.

What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?

I'm gonna do it!

When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?

If someone doesn't like my posts then no worries. They can unsubscribe without notifying me. No harm, no foul.

AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?

It really just depends on what I'm into at the time. At this moment I would say no, though.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends?

If there's anything extra you'd like to know then ask away!
