turnerwolf: (Default)
[personal profile] turnerwolf

Is there an interesting story behind your username?
Not really. Turner is my last name and I love wolves.
Location and language(s):
Maine, USA. I speak English, can get by in Spanish, could do slightly okay in German, less so in French (expect for cursing), know a smattering of Mi'kmaq and Ojibwe, currently learning Russian.
Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):
Age is a number and not one I am all that concerned with.
Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:
Being racist, being anti LGBTQ+, being a rabid evangelical xtian
Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.?
Not yet.
Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?
Currently working on it.
List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:
I'm a Heathen who worships the Gods and Goddesses of my ancestors- ones from both sides of the Atlantic. I also have Multiple Sclerosis.
You mostly write about:
What I am reading, writing, listening to, researching, what I am playing for games, new recipes I am like, little bit of everything.
You never or very rarely write about:
Sex
Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?
Mostly locked, but some public
Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?
I sometimes put things certain things behind cuts and always try to tag posts appropriately
Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):
I used to post frequently, but have not in a long time. I hope to get back into the habit of posting
Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
Occasional memes
What do you enjoy most about journaling?
Writing, getting my thoughts out, sharing stories, creative endeavors.
How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?
Daily
You really enjoy reading about:
writing, gaming, crafting
You have very little interest in reading about:
sex, christianity,
Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
Not a fan of linkspams and tons of gifs.
When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?
Quality
Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?
No
What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?
I try to comment when something really strikes me and/or to offer validation if an entry is seeking that and I can help.
When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first?
I would send a note if it was simply just a matter of not clicking.
How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?
Doesn't matter to me, whatever someone is comfortable with.
AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?
Yes- Forged in Fire (History Channel) and I am an Outlander Fan- more for the books but the show is enjoyable too. I do sometimes rant about Faux News (Mom and I live together- both of us have MS and neither of us could really function on our own, but together, it works) and she is a Faux News fan and it is constantly running in the background sometimes, it just is too much and I will let loose with a rant :P
Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends?
Not that I can think of.
