i'd like to add u!! i'm in my 30's and from socal, i grew up in orange county but lived in other cities for most of my 20's and 30's, now i'm back and i go to la sometimes foe good vegan food or events or whatever. i appreciate a good philosophical read, i was a sociology major and sometimes write about that kind of stuff as it pertains to my everyday life etc. i am in a bit of a dark hole at the moment but working on getting out of it which is what i write a lot about. also u might like this book i read years ago, maybe u have already read it. it's called body horror and it's a compilations of essays on the horror genre, feminism, pop culture, capitalism, stuff like that. i've been meaning to reread it for a long time, but it kinda seems right up your alley. it's by anne elizabeth moore.
