Is there an interesting story behind your username?
Not really, it's actually very mundane. "Llum de Lluna" means "Moonlight" in catalan (I live in Catalonia, Spain). I have always been fascinated by the moon, the night, the stars... so I decided to get this username.

Location and language(s):I live in a small town close to Barcelona, in the North East of Spain. My journal entries are always in English, but in my daily life I use mostly Catalan, or Spanish. Since English is not my first language sometimes my phrases might sounds weird, so I apologize in advance for that.

Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.): mid 40s. (I feel much younger, but I also feel it's a cliché thing to say because everybody I talk to says they feel younger).

Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending: Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and other forms of discrimination are unwelcome in my journal. I value people who are respectful and open-minded, and I like to treat others with dignity, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs.

Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.? I have an about me post linked in my journal, but only people I add as friends have access to it because it contains personal information.

Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful? Yes, it's up to date and it gives basic information about who I am and about my interests.

List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away: Don't expect fandom in my journal. While I watch several TV shows, I play videogames and I love movies, I don't really post about fandoms, and I rarelly comment on fandom posts.

You mostly write about: I mostly post about daily life, about all those random mundane things that make life beautiful. I always try to add a photo to my post, because I like to keep things visual. You'll also notice that I talk a lot about the change of seasons, because I love to see nature change through the year, and enjoy all the little pleasures that go with each season.

You never or very rarely write about: Fandoms. Sometimes I share what I am reading, or a movie/TV show I watched, but not from the fandom point of view. I never post or read fanfic, either.

Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked? All my entries are locked.

Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)? Not right now, but I am thinking about adding some, mostly for more sensitive topics, or topics that could be a trigger.

Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.): I try to post several times per week. Unless I go through a rough phase and this is not possible.

Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? Photos, I try to add a photo to each of my posts (to give it a visual context).

What do you enjoy most about journaling? The people I meet along the way. While I like to keep records of things that happen to me for future reference, I mostly enjoy reading about what is going on in other people's life. I think that the kind of connection we can get in places like this is so much better than what you get in social media these days. In here you get to really know people and what their life is without filters, or at least, with a lot less filters. I truly value that, and to me this is better than any instagram post.

How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?  try to read and comment daily, or almost daily.

You really enjoy reading about: Daily stuff, even when it's just routine. I love to read about the "mundane" life of others, which to me are not mundane at all. I find comfort in routine.

You have very little interest in reading about: Fandoms. I already mentioned that.

Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? If they also share stuff about their life or about themselves I don't mind that people post memes or similar.

When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity? I don't expect that people read and comment on all my posts, that would be unrealistic and selfish. I like to know that people who follow me are interested in at least some of my posts, and that they comment in a more or less regular basis, mostly because it helps to create a connection.

Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly? I do regular purges, and if I see that somebody's journal have been innactive for months and they haven't commented in months in mine either, then I usually unfriend. I'm always open to friend back if they come back later, tho.

What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals? It's one of the main reasons why I am here (interaction). I like to read what others post, and I like to comment when it's possible, even if it's just to say that I read the post. Obviously sometimes I don't know what to say or have nothing to say and I won't comment, but I like to keep the communication biderectional.

When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances? It depends on the person and the circumstances. I think we have all unfriended somebody without a note, after years of journaling this happens (and it has happened to me as well). I really don't have a protocol, I think each case is different. I try to be fair.

AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general? Not really a favorite, or at least not one that stands out or that I post about all the time. I love to watch TV shows and movies, I love to read graphic novels, and I love to play videogames on the PC. I'm very open on the pop culture front, but I don't have specific fandoms I post about.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends? I have been journaling for ages (since around 2002 or so). I was in LJ back then, and my username in there was "polvodestrella". If that username rings a bell to you, let me know, I lost touch with a lot of people I had in my flist in there, and I am sad about that.
