SJ did a lot of fucked up things to my head, too, and I'm 100% with you wishing we were back in the 90's/early 2000's, where anonymity was much higher and people didn't give a shit what other people were doing on the Internet, because everyone had their idiosyncrasies, and that seemed like the unspoken rule at the time. "Live and Let Live" used to be a big saying in my online friend circles.
Heck, I was 14 when I got my first LJ account in 2003, and even then no one was really gross or weird with me. They just did their thing, I did mine, and if I seemed like I was making trouble, or was too immature, they unfriended me and I accepted it. I didn't need protection and I'm glad I didn't get it. I knew better than to reveal sensitive information about myself at the time and it worked wonders. Now everyone has to fall under every label under the sun, and suddenly it's our job to "protect" teenagers from NSFW material? Pffft, yeah right! I don't think so. Furthermore, fandom doesn't need police. Why, all of a sudden, are everyone else's problems MY responsibility? That's not OK, and I don't accept.

Anyway, I'd love to add you.
