Is there an interesting story behind your username?  Not really; just enjoy writing and Tarot :)

Location and language(s):  Florida.  English.

Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.): 40s

Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:

Honestly, not much – I’ve had friends and associates from across the political spectrum, from very liberal to very conservative.  What matters to me is if you’re a good person and we click, not what your political affiliations are.  Mostly, I just keep my politics to myself.

Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.? Yep! writingxtarot74 | Intro Post (dreamwidth.org)

Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?  It’s pretty up to date, but my intro post has more info.

List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:

I’d say that I’m not interested in politics / social justice journals, if that’s important to you.  My politics don’t fall neatly into either right or left; I agree and disagree with bits and pieces from all parties (including third parties like the Greens or Libertarians), but I feel no single party truly represents me, hence changing my voter’s card from Democrat to NPA (No Party Affiliation).

You mostly write about: Everyday this and that; I’m trying to work more with Tarot and Oracle cards, so I’ll post a daily draw to get more practice.

You never or very rarely write about: Fanfiction / fandom – was into it BIG time back in the day, but not so much anymore.  Though I appreciate good fan fiction.

Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked? Definitely locked.

Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?

I might, for Tarot studies or if I post any fiction writing.

Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.): I plan on once or twice per week.

Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?  Memes, linkspams, gifs, eh…not really.  Photos maybe and videos of MST3K shorts or oracle and Tarot reviews / flip throughs.

What do you enjoy most about journaling? Having an outlet and connections with (hopefully) kindred spirits 😊

How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?  Once or twice per week, the same time as I post.

You really enjoy reading about: People’s everyday lives, especially their spiritual journeys.

You have very little interest in reading about: Politics / social justice, etc.

Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?  Depends – if this is ALL you post then I’m not interested.

When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?

A little of both.

Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?

Depends, I mean if we have a good connection when we do comment, then of course I won’t unfriend.  But if we never speak to each other, then what’s the point?

What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?  I try to comment consistently.

When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?  Only once did I did an unfriending, and I just made a general announcement on my journal, but of course not named who I removed – it was just that I was removing people who I added but we rarely, if ever, communicated.

AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?

Vintage gothic novels from the 60s and 70s, as they’re neat 😊

Any books on spirituality that I’m reading and I find helpful.

I’m a Tarot and Oracle geek so I’ll post on that 😊

Fandom – not really into it at the moment.

I may talk about a movie I just saw that I really liked and provide the link, if possible.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends?

Nice to meet you!  Hope to find some kindred spirits 😊

I would like to add you; it seems it I might like to read your journal.

As for me- I am an Australian, mum of one, step-parent of one, cat-mom to one; work full time (as a data-modeller). I write almost everyday, and usually just everyday things and thoughts about whatever is relevant at a point in time.

Let me know what you think and we can take it from there.
