Hello world

Is there an interesting story behind your username?

It's a word I came up with, which means the quality of being a cat. Because I love cats and associate myself with them. Note: it is *not* related to The Hunger Games :)

Location and language(s):

The place that shall not be named.

Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):

50s

Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:

Bwahaha, I've seen it all and I can't be shaken. No, wait: unmarked spoilers for my favourite shows.

Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.?

Nope, too lazy to do it.

Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?

Old and useless, like me.

List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:

I'm cynical, sarcastic, irreverent, immature, and love to play with the Dark Side. If you're too touchy / easily offended, stay away.

You mostly write about:

Programming, gaming, reviews (books/games/films etc), motivation/productivity, dreams, languages, studying, traveling (f/locked), weird ideas.

You never or very rarely write about:

Mundane life, job, politics, personally identifying info.

Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?

Mostly public.

Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?

Nope, can't be bothered. Friends get the whole package.

Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):

It depends. In average, every few days, unless I'm in a mood for spamming, or for hiding under a rock.

Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?

Memes, sure, can't resist a cool meme / questionnaire (like this one). The rest, not so much, but occasionally picspam, linkspam etc *will* be posted. Resistance is futile.

What do you enjoy most about journaling?

I'm a hardcore introvert. Journaling satisfies my need for social interaction without getting anywhere close to critters of flesh and blood.

How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?

It depends. Mostly daily.

You really enjoy reading about:

Gaming, programming, book/film/game reviews, philosophy, weird ideas, traveling/interesting places.

You have very little interest in reading about:

Politics, (small) children, mundane stuff about life in meatspace.

Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?

They're fine, especially if I enjoy the content. Otherwise, Scroll Down is your friend.

When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?

Quality.

Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?

Of course not. It's not as if I comment much either.

What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?

I comment when I have a need to say something non-trivial, and time to write it out. I'm not a diligent commenter.

When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?

Without warning. They can do whatever they want.

AND LASTLY

Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?

Harry Potter, Star Trek, Death Note, Breaking Bad, Pokémon Go, Sherlock Holmes, H2G2, and I'm surely forgetting a lot.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends?

"Some people say that cats are sneaky, evil, and cruel. True, and they have many other fine qualities as well."

Hi there!

You sound fun, but I mostly post about day-to-day stuff. Here's my thing: https://findingfriends.dreamwidth.org/1880.html.
