Is there an interesting story behind your username?
Not really, my original theme was pink, and it fit roses, and faeries, and nymphs!
Location and language(s):
English, USA, Texas
Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):
Late 20s, Early 30s ; 28
Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:
Being a huge ass. Being judgemental. As well as being anti Queer/Trans Rights. I am with a woman, and I believe everyone should be treated like a person. No, you cannot change my mind. As well, anyone who is bigoted in any way. Just... don't be an asshole!!
Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.?
I have a sticky tag post with my interests!!
Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?
Very up to date.
List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:
I am mentally ill, depressive, anxious and a few other things. I am pansexual.
You mostly write about:
Witchy things; religion, witchcraft, my practice, spellwork, holidays. As well as now, opening up to my fandom side on my DW. And worldbuilding for personal stories, projects, and D&D.
You never or very rarely write about:
Politics
Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?
Fully locked. This is because i'm shy.
Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?
Nope!
Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):
Almost daily, but that doesn't mean I won't disappear now and then.
Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
Photos, of my art, typically.
What do you enjoy most about journaling?
Here on DW, people are actually friendly and comment on your things?? It's wild. Plus I can go back through tags and posts and remember things.
How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?
Probably every few days.
You really enjoy reading about:
Fantasy stuff, Worldbuilding, Witchy/ Polytheism things, Fanfiction creation, Game Making, anything fun!
You have very little interest in reading about:
Politics
Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
They're fine!! I do it too! Doesn't gotta be a wall of text all the time.
When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?
Both?? I like having them, and I like actually being able to have a dialogue with folks!
Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?
No, I think that's silly, what if they really like your content!!!
What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?
I try to say something even if I don't have much to say, or am really shy! But if I don't say something then, I'll likely say something when I have something to say, if that makes sense?
When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?
I do not tell people i'm unfriending them, I don't want to cause undue stress! And no, don't tell me!
AND LASTLY
Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?
I am only just now writing about my fandom interests, which will likely be Conan the Barbarian, Tolkien/LotR, and my own projects to be fair. I cycle through the others rapidly and only fixate for a bit. They'll likely only get spoken of whilst writing a fic, as I intend to do that more often.
Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends?
I know I write with lots of exclamation points!! But I am a shy person. I am open to dialogue, and messages if you feel like you wanna make friends! Any questions, ideas, thoughts, i'm there! Even if it's to get someone to read your new fic that you're very excited about! <3
