Is there an interesting story behind your username?
Suncani means sunny or shiny in serbian. I wanted something fairly neutral when I started participating online and it's stuck
Location and language(s):
UK, UK english, tiny bits of spanish and french. I used to speak more but it's whithered with disuse
Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):
early 30's
Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:
Bullying, anti's anything that's imposing your opinion on others. We can disagree but everyone likes what they like, you don't need to tell them they're wrong or a bad person for it.
Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.?
Erm sort of? While I don't have too many posts I think they're a good reflection of the things I like and am most likely to talk about.
Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful?
Well the interests are but I think that's all that's on there, as I wasn't entirely sure what to put.
List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away:
I am incredibly inconsistent and my brain generally hates me. This means I can take forever to reply back to comments and triple think what I write. So if you get a comment that seems a bit odd, it's probably been edited to death. If I take a while to respond I'm not annoyed or uninterested I'm probably been reclusive. You mostly write about:
Things that I've found that I think are interesting, what I'm reading, current projects, a little bit of politics
You never or very rarely write about:
At the moment I'm still figuring out what I want to use my journal for so am loathe to say I'd never write about something, but that might change
Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?
Mostly public
Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)?
I don't think so?
Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):
Aiming for at least every few days but this has been fairly sporadic so far
Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
I like a good linkspam but try to limit to 2-3 and explain why I'm highlighting them
What do you enjoy most about journaling?
Chance to write regularly and attempt to become better at getting my thoughts down on paper in a coherent manner
How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?
Daily
You really enjoy reading about:
Whatever other people are interested in. If someone has a passion for something it comes across in their writing and makes it interesting
You have very little interest in reading about:
Unrelenting negativity. Yes, the world is not as good as it can be, but I need some hope otherwise I end up sliding too.
Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
Some is good, if that's all their is, I may struggle to comment but will probably still read
When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity?
Happy with either, whatever people choose to do is great by me
Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly?
Nope, I only really clean out lists once in a blue moon and then it would be complete inactivity for months/years
What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?
If I have something to say, I'll comment but will generally be quite restrained in commenting I can be shy sometimes.
When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances?
Tend to just unfriend and would prefer the same. Sometimes things just don't click for any real reasons
AND LASTLY
Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general?
What I write about tends to be what I'm interested in at the time, I can be a bit of a butterfly skipping from one thing to the next Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends? If there's anything you're curious about come and say hi!
