findingfriendsIs there an interesting story behind your username? I love words, I love the cadence and flow of poetry so rhythmicflow just seemed to fit
Location and language(s): I'm in England, and I speak English. I did German in high school but doubt I remember anything further than Ich heiße London Lee
Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.): early 40s
Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending: hate speech, censorship, telling me my life is wrong/how to live my life
Do you have an "About Me" post new friends can read to get a sense of who you are, the people you talk about regularly, etc.? see here
Is your profile up-to-date or at all useful? It's up-to-date, but I don't know how 'useful' it is
List a few things you think it's important new friends know about you right away: I am a genderfluid (she/they), poly (in two long-term committed relationships), pansexual, pagan, long-haired, Leo
You mostly write about/You never or very rarely write about: I don't know, but I'm excited to find out
Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked? I suspect it's going to be a mixture of both
Do you use filters for certain types of posts (e.g. fandom-related posts, or posts about sex, or mental health issues, etc.)? nope, and I don't know what that means
Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.): I'm planning on posting every few days, maybe 3-4 times a week
Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? probably, yes!
What do you enjoy most about journaling? How it makes me thing about how I present myself using only words, how I'm forced to communicate more consisely and how it can connect people
How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)? Same as posting, every few days
You really enjoy reading about: people, their lives, their loves and their passions. Listening to someone speak about something they're passionate about, even if I know nothing about the subject, is a wonderful experience
You have very little interest in reading about: teen angst/drama, fanfiction, hate speech
Your thoughts on journals that regularly include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc? I'm not a fan of linkspams, I'd rather know what you think of a topic. If a person is posting something that important/means something to them, and chooses visual media, then I want to see it.
When it comes to comments on your posts, what matters more -- quality or quantity? yes. Stroke my ego!
Do you unfriend people who don't comment much, even if you know they are reading you regularly? I don't think so. I'd certainly prefer people TO comment, interaction is part of the point of this community, but I also understand there are MANY reasons people don't/can't
What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals? If I have something to say, I'll say it.
When you friend someone, but things don't really click, do you unfriend them without warning, or do you send them a note first? How do you prefer to be unfriended in similar circumstances? I think I would prefer the heads up, both giving and receiving.
AND LASTLY
Friending memes often ask people to list their favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., but more often than not, those aren't things people actually write about in their journal. Do you have any favourite TV shows, movies, books, etc., that you DO often write about -- not necessarily in a fandom sort of way, just in general? I'm not in fandom, per se. I love to read, especially horror, mystery, paranormal and urban fantasy - and list Cassandra Clare, Jim Butcher, JK Rowling, Patricia Briggs and Charlaine Harris among my favourite writers. TV/Movie wise I love Harry Potter, Sherlock, Good Omens, True Blood, Twilight, Shadowhunters, most Tim Burton.
Any final thoughts you'd like to share with potential new friends? Not that I can think of. If there's anything you want to know, just ask and I'll probably tell you!
